Ruth-Anne Cunningham is a singer/songwriter/producer from Donaghmede, Dublin, Ireland.

Songwriting

Ruth-Anne is a 27-year-old singer/songwriter/producer/vocal producer from Dublin, In Ireland, She is signed to Sony ATV as of May 2010.[1] At 17 years old she was brought, by her then-manager Eamonn Maguire, to the US where she co-wrote JoJo's hit single "Too Little Too Late" with Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander. It went from number 66 to number 3 on the Billboard hot 100 chart in just one week in America, breaking records as the biggest leap in one week at the time. It went on to be a worldwide smash in over 30 countries, the song itself sold over 1 million copies and was certified platinum by the RIAA in America, the album also was certified Platinum selling over 1 million copies and was certified gold in the UK, Canada and Germany. She was awarded with the very prestigious ASCAP Songwriters Best Pop Award at the 24th Annual ASCAP Pop Awards 2007 for "Too Little Too Late"[2]

Her second American hit came not long after with the runner-up of American Idol "Katharine Mcphee, "Over It", which Ruth-Anne co-wrote with Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander went top 20 and the song itself sold 500,000 copies and was certified gold by RIAA, the song was then recorded by German band Queensberry and that album went gold in Germany.

Cunningham co-wrote two hit singles off Pixie Lotts album Turn It Up including the title track "Turn It Up" and the hit single "Broken Arrow" as well as also writing "My Love" for the album.

Cunningham has written with some of the worlds biggest producers and songwriters including Red One, J.R. Rotem, Toby Gad, Evan Bogart, Harvey Mason Jnr, Billy Steinberg, Josh Alexander, Julian Bunetta, Guy Chambers, Andrew Frampton, Cutfather and Jayjay, Chris Braide, Labrinth, Quiz and Larossi, Jeff Bhasker, Alex Da Kidd, Stereotypes, Franne Golde, Phil Thornally, Mads Hauge, Karen Poole, Heather Bright, Livvi Franc, Jimmy Harry, Paul Epworth, Pete Martin, Danny and Mark from "The Script", TMS, Phrased differently, Future Cut, Naughty Boy, Mojam music and lots more.[3][4]

She has had songs recorded/released by artists such as Britney Spears, TLC, Benny Benassi, Avicii, Fifth Harmony, Jojo, Katherine Mcphee, Professor Green, Pixie Lott, Westlife Leona Lewis, Devlin, Alexandra Burke, Sugababes, Tinchy Stryder. [5][6][7]

She appears as a writer and vocalist on Swedish DJ/Producer Avicii's debut album True. She lends her vocals for the song All You Need Is Love, which premiered at Summerburst 2012, for which an the audio was leaked onto the internet, sometime around July 2012. [8] All You Need Is Love was released in September 2013 as a Spotify exclusive bonus track for Avicii's debut album, True.

She has had songs on 3 platinum selling albums in the US and in Europe.[9]

She also is a co-writer on the hit Britney Spears single "Work Bitch" which went itunes number 1 in 34countries

She also performed at the TED conference in Edinburgh June 2013 as a Ted Talk Performer.

She will be releasing her debut EP in March 2014
