Tim Easton is a Nashville, Tennessee-based American guitarist and singer-songwriter playing rock and roll music.

Biography

Easton was raised in Akron, Ohio, forming the band Kosher Spears while at college.[1] He traveled abroad for a time, busking in London, Paris, Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and Ireland, and on his return to the US in the mid-1990s he joined The Haynes Boys. When the band split up, he embarked on a solo career, with his debut album, Special 20, released in 1998 on Heathen Records. He subsequently relocated to California, signed a deal with EMI Publishing, and a record deal with New West Records.[1] He currently resides in Nashville, TN.

In 2007, Easton joined Leeroy Stagger and Evan Phillips, performing as Easton, Stagger, Phillips. Easton and Stagger initially performed in 2008 as support acts for Phillips' band The Whipsaws.[2][3] The group released one album One For The Ditch, on Rebeltone Records, in 2008.[4] Their sophomore album (Resolution Road) will be released in 2014.[5]

Easton was nominated for the 9th Annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop award for 'Best Americana Song' with "Burgundy Red".[6] His album won the 9th Annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop vote for best Album Packaging.[7]

In 2013 Easton Released Not Cool which was started after he moved back to Nashville and saw a show at Roberts Western World. The experience inspired him to make Not Cool, which he described as kind of a 50s, Sun Studio thing, kind of a rock and roll thing.[8]
